The Standard Edition of MDaemon is a heavily cut down version of MDaemon and excludes many features which are important in email servers today. We can only recommend this version in a very limited number of situations.

What is upgrade cover?
Having product upgrade cover on your software means that it will automatically qualify for free updates during the period of that cover. New purchases include 1 year of cover by default and a 2 year option is available.

Can I renew my upgrade cover?
Upgrade cover can be renewed for a low cost each year and we will do our best to contact you by email, telephone and post to remind you about your product's upgrade cover expiry date each year.
What are the renewal costs each year?
If your MDaemon upgrade cover has not yet expired then the cover can be renewed for 35% of the cost of a new key. Once your existing upgrade cover expires, the renewal cost doubles to 70% of the cost of a new key. For the SecurityPlus plug-in, upgrade cover can be renewed for 70% of the new cost of a key regardless of whether the key's existing cover has expired or not. For the Outlook Connector plug-in, upgrade cover can be renewed for 25% of the cost of a new key but this cost doubles if the cover has expired.
If I renew early, will I lose out?
No. Renewing early will simply add cover to your existing cover's expiry date so you won't lose any time that you've already paid for.
If I choose not to renew, will my software stop working?
MDaemon and the Outlook Connector plug-in will continue to work as normal but you will no longer be covered for new releases or free technical support. In the case of the SecurityPlus plug-in, virus signature updates and Outbreak Protection checks will stop leaving you unprotected.
Does upgrade cover include a technical support contract?
No, upgrade cover only entitles you to new versions of the products and signature updates as and when they are released. However, we are happy to provide comprehensive free technical support via phone and email for software which still has upgrade cover and that was purchased directly from us. If your licence was purchased through a reseller, then you should contact your reseller as the first point of contact for sales and support queries before contacting us.
Can I purchase more than 1 year of upgrade cover?
Yes. Upgrade cover can also be renewed for 2 years if required.
