If you use Alt-N’s Outlook Connector plug-in with Outlook 2003 or later, you can use Apple’s MobileMe service to synchronise your Outlook Calendar and Contacts with your iPhone meaning that your desktop Outlook, WorldClient and iPhone Calendar and Contacts folders will all be kept in sync.
- Create a new account at http://www.me.com (60 day free trial available);
- Download and install the latest version of iTunes (v9 or later) before downloading and installing the latest version of MobileMe Control Panel for Windows (v1.5 or later);
- From the Windows Start menu, open Control Panel and choose MobileMe;
- Sign in with your new MobileMe member name and password;
- Click the ‘Sync’ tab and tick the ‘Sync with MobileMe’ checkbox;
- Configure the ‘Contacts’ and ‘Calendars’ to sync with ‘Outlook’, you may also want to sync Internet Explorer’s bookmarks to your iPhone (hint: if you use Firefox, you can use the free Xmarks plug-in to synchronise your Firefox bookmarks with Internet Explorer);
- Click the ‘Sync Now’ button to synchronise with your MobileMe account;
- Configure your iPhone to connect to your MobileMe account
- Select ‘Settings’
- Select ‘Mail, Contacts, Calendars’
- Select ‘Add Account...’
- Select ‘mobileme’ as the account type
- Enter your Name, MobileMe Address and Password and click ‘Save’ to verify your account information.
- Once verified, configure the options as shown here:-

Note that we don’t recommend syncing email with MobileMe as email is best sync’d using an IMAP connection directly to your MDaemon server. Also note that you may not want to sync your Bookmarks with your iPhone.
