Q10324 - HOWTO: Using BlackBerry Push Email to route email from other folders in your mailbox to your BlackBerry Device

If you've configured your BlackBerry for Push Email in MDaemon as this article details http://www.zensoftware.co.uk/kb/article.aspx?id=10321 but also want to get copies of email that arrive in other mail folders in your mailbox (for example, if you have MDaemon filters that move email into different sub folders of your inbox depending on specific criteria) then this article will detail the process.

Via the MDaemon GUI you can select (tick) the mail folders that you want to be pushed to the BlackBerry handset at Accounts -> Account Manager -> {username} -> BlackBerry Inbox (it's not necessary to tick your Inbox folder in this location as the BlackBerry Push Email function is already doing this)...

An MDaemon user can also do this themselves by logging into WorldClient and choosing Options -> Folders...

You can then tick the folders you want new email to arrive in to be pushed to the BlackBerry handset in the 'Push to BlackBerry' column...

In either location all that's necessary is to tick those folders that new email will arrive in that you want to be pushed to the BlackBerry.

When the BIS service connects to MDaemon to collect Inbox mail MDaemon will serve up the content of these selected folders as well. All the messages from all the selected folders will appear within the single Inbox folder on the BlackBerry device. The messages are not actually moved into Inbox on MDaemon and folders are not created on the BlackBerry.  Rather, selected folder content is sent to the BlackBerry as if it were part of the Inbox folder.
