The method to move MDaemon from one machine to another or to another drive on the same machine varies depending on the version of MDaemon installed and whether you currently use BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server) or not.
This article provides links to each required knowledge base article depending on your specific requirements:
Moving MDaemon to a new machine where the path is the same and no BES component is installed
Moving MDaemon to a new machine where the path is different on the machine and no BES component is installed
Moving MDaemon to a new drive on the same machine where no BES component is installed
Moving MDaemon to a new machine where the path is the same and the BES component is installed
(Note if your are using MDaemon with the BES component installed and wish to migrate MDaemon to a new path on a new machine it's not currently possible to retain the existing BES database and all activated BlackBerry devices will need to be re-activated)
If you aren't sure if your are running BES then you can check by choosing Setup -> BlackBerry Device Management. If in this location you have both a BlackBerry Enterprise Server section and BlackBerry Internet Service section then you have BES installed (just having a BlackBerry Internet Service section means BES isn't installed).
You can also check if you have any activated BES BlackBerry devices in the 'Integrated Accounts' section of BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
